Liam McGrathOn this week’s Local Selection episode we’re excited to have Midweek join us for the 87th edition. Midweek consists of Chaz Moloney and SHEE and have been behind some of Limericks biggest and best parties.
The Local Selection Mix Series is our weekly, flagship series in which we invite some local legends and rising talent to provide us with a mix of what they’re enjoying, listening to and playing out in clubs across the country. From newcomers to some of the founding names of the Irish scene, we deep dive to bring you the very best in Irish talent and highlight some of Ireland’s best DJ’s.
Midweek is a duo made up of the familiar faces, and highly regarded promoters, DJ’s, producers and all round nice guys, Chaz Moloney and SHEE. After starting to run house parties, raves and then progressing to club shows and even their own day festivals under the collectives Touch of Techno and Clique. The two lads have taken running shows seriously and have hosted some of the biggest and best names including DVS1, Special Request, FJAAK, Tommy Holohan, KETTAMA, Boots & Kats, Folamour, Ben Sims, Mella Dee and lots more.
The Midweek alias came about from these shows and events, although the two lads would have different individual styles, they merge their tastes beautifully when they come together. Chaz is better know for his relelntless, hard hitting techno sets, and SHEE for his feel good, french house inspired tracks and sets. A maybe unexpected duo, but we support it!
