After first appearing in 2014, Theologue, a.k.a. Alan Byrne, has undeniably left his mark on Ireland and Dublin’s bustling electronic music scene.

Over the years he’s found himself on support duties for the likes of massive industry names including I Hate Models, AnD, DVS1, Setaoc Mass, Bleaching Agent, Manni Dee and DJ Bone, as well as appearing on line ups at festivals and venues across the country.
Theologue’s style of techno is both hypnotic and textured, proves as an acknowledgement of years passed, and nods to the ever-evolving futuristic ideals of the modern sound of electronic music – with his mix proving his diversity and his ear for all things traditional but in synchronicity, experimental and new.
In March 2017, Theologue launched his own label and colelctive Operator based in Dublin, which has gone on to see success right out the gates with the high-profile bookings of Neil Landstrumm, Bleaching Agent and Manni Dee to name but a few.
Theologue supports Manni Dee at Smithfield’s 39/40 on July 15, alongside Irish duo Flexure (Jamie Behan and Stephen Mahoney) as part of Manni Dee’s album tour. Find out more about the event and others playing here.
