Minimal house music duo Blancnoir comprises Dublin-based artists Andrew Guilfoyle and Seán Connaughton. The pairing has made themselves firmly known across the city having performed at Index, Button Factory, Bow Lane Social Club and The Soundhouse since their inception. Not to mention UK club appearances in Kent as well as Liverpool for Bankside. They make their return to Liverpool this weekend where they will open proceedings for esteemed artist Kreature. The pair have earned lucrative support slots for Josh Butler, Andrew Azara, Pusher, Sorley and more over the last few years playing a wealth of successful club shows.
Blancnoir’s mix for Mix of the Week comes from their live recording which was recently uploaded to their Soundcloud from their Grey Matter event series. The night aims to showcase up-and-coming artists while blending well-respected names within the house and deep-tech/minimal scene. Their recording acts as the opening set of the evening where the pair glide through an array of sensual and groove-infused house cuts as they set the tone for the remainder of the evening which is done in an ever-so-eloquent manner.
