This weeks Mix Of The Week goes to Irish born, Manchester based Kerrie, as she steps up to HÖR with a solid vinyl only set just in time for the weekend. Strap yourself in, as this gets wild.

Dark Machine Funk boss Kerrie has had a rather monumental few years of late, having debuted on James Ruskin‘s Blueprint, with two releases on her label DMF receiving incredible support as well as a host of landmark gigs at Fabric, Freedom Festival in Medellin and a number of gigs at Eastern Bloc.

This set starts off in a gradual manner. Unconventional undertones can be heard. Rough, rigid sounds that eventually mould into low end frequencies. Kerrie does a fantastic job at sifting through varying atmospheric styles of techno throughout. Where, one minute you find yourself calmly listening, then the next moment is met by sinister, slamming techno. All of which is executed with great precision on a set of 1210’s. Fascinating.

The recording itself features a whole host of talented producers, some of which include Volster, Lewis Fautzi, Nørbak, Reeko, Oscar Mulero and Kerrie herself to give a taster in terms of what to expect. If you would like to stay up to date with what Kerrie gets up to next you can follow her Soundcloud, Facebook and Instagram.
