This weeks Mix Of The Week goes to Modeā. His exhilarating performance at The Telegraph Building for Shine Belfast includes a number of original Modeā material. Coupled with tracks from the likes of Thomas Schumacher, Rebūke, Nancy live that finely encompasses his signature style. Fused with emotive melodies that create an infectious big room techno sound. Fantastic.

Hailing from Donegal, Modeā has been making unbelievable progress as a DJ and music producer in recent times. His standout techno productions have seen him garner releases on Alex Fitzpatrick’s ‘We Are The Brave’ and Dense & Pika’s ‘Kneaded Pains’ labels respectively. His Shine and Era Of Rave EPs received colossal support right across the music industry with the likes of Carl Cox, Joseph Capriati, Laurent Garnier and Adam Beyer all supporting the prestigious producer’s music.

Modeā has also had the pleasure of performing headline shows in Letterkenny and Galway, while also making appearances in The Telegraph Building and Index. While earning himself slots at Wicklow’s BD Festival and Jika Jika’s festival at Malin Head in Donegal this year. Additionally, Modeā made his Amsterdam debut this year during ADE for Oliver Helden’s Heldeep Records at Melkweg. While we realise that these milestones are remarkable in themselves, it does feel like the young artist is only getting started and has a lot more to accomplish with his incredible music.

This recording captures Modeā’s last hour from his set at The Telegraph Building for a sold out Shine Belfast featuring Modeā, Flanzo, Juliet Fox, Alignment and T78. The mix is a brilliant representation of Modeā’s style and effortless mixing technique. Encompassing the right amount of melody and euphoria from his selections that showcase his standout techno sound that is difficult to resist. Stick it on and listen for yourself.
