This week’s entry to the Four Four Mix of the Week goes to fast-rising DJ and promoter Taurean. The Dollhaus founder has been steadily progressing on all fronts of late by means of running a string of successful parties in Cork City as well as making significant strides behind the booth as an artist. Gaining well-deserved recognition from a host of parties like Slither, Hidden Love and Salvaged while also performing her own headline show with The Midnight Disco in Dublin last month.
Taurean’s hard work and dedication to her craft have not gone unnoticed as she’s utilised this momentum to her own benefit, earning herself some lucrative support slots in the process for some of the industries most favoured artists in Skin On Skin and Malugi, both of which are set to take place next month which is set to round off an impressive year for the prolific DJ.
Her entry to the SPEED mix series is a divine showcase of pristine, quality techno. Taurean does an excellent job of guiding the listener through the recording as she builds the energy of the set over the course of the hour. Filled with moments of sustain and release that make it a delight to find yourself immersed in. Around the halfway point you can really feel things go up a gear.
