One of the countries most highly regarded and spoken about festivals, Fuinneamh, have announced their headliners for the 2 day festival that is set to take place this September in Bellurgan Park.

If that isn’t enough, they have also announced a further 60 local acts that will be performing over the weekend filled with underground dance music veterans, cult heroes and newcomers alike.

A man who needs no introduction in Hector Oaks, has propelled himself into one of Techno’s most valuable assets in recent years. Showcasing his effortless yet relentless mixing style across the globe, he headlines Fuinneamh Festival in Dundalk this year. Oak’s obsession for music is not only clear but also exceptionally broad given his Cadency and DJKAOS11 aliases. Accompanying this with his Oaks and Kaos labels featuring acts like Anetha, P.E.A.R.L., and u.r.trax it is evident how significant and illustrious Hector Oak’s imprints have been regarding dance music.

Commix, is the additional headliner who many would regard as Drum & Bass royalty. The Cambridge native is renowned as the first solo artist to ever release on the historic and enormously influential Metalheadz. The album ‘Call To Mind’ featured the lead single ‘Be True’ that has since been cemented in Drum & Bass history as an anthem of the utmost regard. Commix has since toured the globe performing countless international shows. His last Irish club show was a terrific gig that took place in Wigwam, courtesy of Techno & Cans. We cannot wait to see what he has in store this September to close off this summer’s festival season.

What would an Irish festival line-up be without its local act announcements, eh? This year’s Fuinneamh local act announcements did certainly not disappoint. In my opinion, it may be one of the strongest selections of local festival line-ups that we have ever seen. The balance of genre diversity is superb, there seems to be something here for everyone at Fuinneamh this year. Drum & Bass, House, Techno, Jungle, Electro, Ghetto and more! It’s incredible.

Some of the best party starters the country has to offer in The Midnight Disco, Slither and Reboot DJs playing across the same weekend at the same event is a festival goers dream. Having the chance to check out some fresh faces to the festival circuit in Erik Burka, Three Stripe Selecta, Tyvion Valentine, and Ayolxi is a gift. There are so many acts to catch across the weekend. I love it. Numerous festival veterans who never fail to bring the heat is Aeron XTC (with a special closing set), Cailín, Eve, and Digital Wax. I’m getting butterflies just thinking about it!
