For our latest Local Selection, we welcome a stalwart of the Irish house and techno scene, Eddie Reynolds, aka Tr One, as the prolific DJ and producer records a jam packed mix full or techno rarities from the golden era.

Being no stranger to the Irish scene, Eddie Reynolds aka Tr One is a DJ and producer based in Carlow. A much-respected figure within Ireland’s fertile electronic music scene, Reynolds cites the likes of Dublin’s D1 Recordings, Kraftwerk and J Dilla as early influences. Equally inspired by vintage sounds of Chicago and Detroit, he started dabbling in production in the early 00s alongside fellow Irish producer, Dean Feeney.

Fast-forward over a decade and although the project may now consist of Reynolds only, his dedication to all things house, techno and electro remain unwavering. A prolific producer, Reynolds’ sounds has led him to some of his country’s most-renowned labels, including Lunar Disko, Apartment, Bodytonic and Pogo.

You can find Tr One currently hosting a regular night called ‘Rotation’, which takes place at the Bernard Shaw in Dublin.

In 2021 TR-One has been consistently putting music on Bandcamp and will have a release on a Mexican label shortly. The Dublin producer is also hosting a regular night called rotation in the Bernard Shaw. The Dublin favourite is mixing deeper techno sounds with vintage funky and tribal techno cuts.
