We welcome DJ and producer Josh Coakley to the Local Selection today, as the Dublin DJ provides us with an hour of club hitters for your Wednesday afternoon enjoyment.
Dublin DJ and producer Josh Coakley has been earning his stripes performing at clubs and festivals up and down the country, as well as internationally, playing a huge variety of tunes, from vintage old-skool tracks to house, disco and techno. His style has earned him sets supporting Patrick Topping, Solardo and Fisher, to Michael Bibi, Route 94, Eats Everything and Alan Fitzpatrick.
His first release was at the young age of 16 where his skills saw him get signed to Irish label Luxor Music. He has since gone on to produce a huge back catalogue of tunes, most recently Coakley Collabs on Sharpson’s Choki Biki records, collaborating with artists such as Black Traffic, BLK, and Sharpson to name just a few.
This week, he takes the reigns of our Local Selection series, giving a taste of what to expect from his sets. Blending through various iterations of techno, jersey house and electro, while using catchy vocal samples and choppy mixing techniques to bring listeners down a rabbit hole, it’s an hour where you will truly be immersed and energised.
Tune in and crank this one up, as Josh soundtracks your Wednesday afternoon’s music.
