Now Dublin-based, the exciting DJ and music producer has marked his entry into the series by means of providing us with a solid workout that encompasses a variety of breakbeat and electro sounds throughout.
Our latest entry to the Local Selection Mix Series is Phacade. The skilled musician has supplied us with a pacey recording that features an abundance of breaks alongside some choppy, playful vocals for the duration of the mix.
Having previously featured on Project Radio last year as well as performing at LOST and Hidden Love parties, Phacade released some impressive tracks on Filth Inc and on his own Soundcloud in the process. Notably, his musical inspirations can clearly be heard throughout his productions.
This ranges from Steel City Dance Discs mainstays Mall Grab and Skin On Skin to more sinister electro and breaky vocals that usually are associated with various grime and rap artists. Phacade’s sound can be ultimately described as high-octane, energetic, and bass-heavy.
