Corcra’s sound preference as an artist leans on the groove of disco, funk, soul, and old-school house. He has cracked the code of supplying hours of music that keeps the dance floor filled, spanning decades from old to fresh remixes of classics that partygoers know and love. Not to mention a deep collection of uncommon gems to accompany his esteemed selections. This has resulted in Corcra picking up various slots at some of Ireland’s best festivals which include Electric Picnic, All Together Now and BD while picking up a lucrative support slot for LA LA and Chantel Kavanagh at Index back in September.
His love for booty-shaking music sees him weave through modern disco house, deriving inspiration from acts like Purple Disco Machine, Mousse T, and Horse Meat Disco. While gaining massive influence from his mother’s remarkable taste this has given his sets a sprinkle of 90s and early 2000s club dance tunes setting Corcra even further afield as a standout DJ renowned for his stylistic flavour.
This mix emulates everything great about disco-house, the upbeat and fun-loving selections throughout are ideal for transporting the listener back to great weather and good times with friends with not a care in the world. Corcra lets the music do the talking here and it can be heard in the form of funk and groove throughout. Truly outstanding stuff.
