Irish producer and visual artist Mark Murray (aka AKSENT) has released his first single ‘SLAVES’ from his upcoming album on his label ‘STUCK IN LIMBO’. The track is primarily rooted somewhere between trance and techno and is accompanied by AKSENT’s first official music video which he directed himself.

AKSENT has dropped his first single from his next album. The track can be found on his own imprint ‘STUCK IN LIMBO’, where he has given himself the opportunity to fully immerse himself in various creative processes in bringing this musical project to life. This includes producing, filming, and editing the entire project from its inception right up to the finished product.

Additional information regarding the curation and background of the project has been shared by AKSENT himself and reads as follows:

‘About 9 months ago I wrote this song SLAVES a techno, trance track with my vocal over it about my frustrations with people making false promises, and myself for not taking action on some of my ideas. I showed the track to
Dan Whelan & the two of us were going mad in his kitchen, his reaction to the song drove us to write a script for a music video that night. We sat down for hours bouncing ideas, characters, and scenes off each other. We listened to the song and imagined how each section of the song would translate into scenes.

A big part of the script was the group staging a robbery in a local shop, we again didn’t have much of a budget, but luckily one of our good friends Ivin
persuaded his Dad into letting us film in his shop in Finglas, North Dublin. Ivin even offered to play the role of the shopkeeper in the video.

I’ve never directed a music video or written a script in my life but we jumped into the entire process head first & I’ve never been more proud to release something in my life, it is without a doubt the best piece of work I’ve made so far.
