Brand new music from Cork launches today as Blakkheart’s dreamy, electronic, glitter-disco track inspired by Prince and Kylie Minogue is released.

The track ‘Not To Your Taste‘ was composed on a Roland Juno DI hardware synthesizer in Blakkheart’s plant emporium and home studio. Everything you see and hear from the artist is created in its entirety by her, right down to the artwork.

After touring a lot as a session musician and vocalist (performing at festivals such as Electric Picnic, Indiependence, opening for the likes of Sean Kingston, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and Le Boom), she began to hone her production skills.

The versatile artist has been producing over the last few years, showcasing a variety of styles such as hip hop, electronica, disco/pop and even ambient, but the latest track is very much a disco-infused pop song, paying homage to the early 90s glitter-disco sounds.

Gave my life to you / Pipe dreams can be cruel / Was it hard to watch / As I lost and lost”  – a lament to the life you envisioned inside your head; and the unwelcome realization that this may never materialize.
