Sam GreenwoodRemote Town Records is a label we’ve been interested in and been following since its inception during the Covid lockdown in 2020.
They are a recently formed label based in the hills of Co. Wicklow, Ireland. Predominantly focusing on electronic music, but with an open ended ethos to style, the releases will come on a variety of mediums including digital, vinyl and cassette. Also expect regular podcasts, mixtapes and some quality merch as well.
Artists that have released on this exciting new label include Automatic Tasty, Damien Lynch, Patrick Kelleher & his Cold Dead Hands, with many more in the pipeline.
It’s no secret that we absolutely love all things Irish dance music, so receiving new music from an independent Irish label always makes us very happy. Today, Remote Town Records announced the brand new album from Damien Lynch’s electro moniker Diamond Dagger. O.T.S is a straight up Cosmic collection of Drum and Synthesizer space jams carefully compiled on classic electronic instruments such as Italo/electro heavy hitters the LinnDrum, Oberhime DMX, Drumtraks and Korg Polysix.
