Josh Allotey a.k.a ‘FAXE ON FAXE’ is an up-and-coming Dublin-based DJ & Producer. A resident DJ of one of Dublin’s newest and most prominent collectives ‘The Shed Residents’, FAXE ON FAXE has proven his proficiency behind the decks playing a plethora of electronic genres ranging from Chill House to Drum & Bass at various Shed events and elsewhere.
This sonic versatility carries over into his productions as his releases ‘SEE YOU THERE’, ‘SOMETHING HARD + GROOVY’ & ‘CARNIVAL’ all boast different styles. With a love for groove and funk, an ear for the fusion of genres and an appreciation for collaboration, FAXE ON FAXE is certainly one to keep an eye on in the Dublin music scene.
Shane Smyth a.k.a ‘Blimp’ is a Dublin-based producer who has been featured on Spotify editorials 7 times, seen support from jaguar on BBC Radio 1 dance and gained radio play through RTE and Dublin City FM. Blimp has also received co-signs from industry leaders such as TSHA and Kareem Ali.
FAXE ON FAXE and Blimp have been close friends for many years and have shared common interests in the music they listen to. Having first bonded over Hip-Hop with artists like Playboi Carti and A$AP Rocky, both artists started out making beats tailored towards the likes of the aforementioned hip-hop artists. FAXE ON FAXE and Blimp have since built a deeper interest in the electronic dance music scene and with this interest has come a growing list of productions from the two. ‘STAY’ symbolises a fusion between two production styles, two different tastes in music and displays the fruits of collaboration.
