One of the finest DJs Ireland has produced over the years, the legendary DJ and producer, Fergie, today announces his return to the techno scene, with his latest Alpha Centauri track and release.

Fergie burst onto the scene in the 90s during the hard house era under the guidance and mentorship of hard house hero, don and sadly missed, Tony De Vit. During this time he held down residencies at the legendary Trade, Godskitchen, Sundissential, Golden, and Passion, before switching his sounds to house and techno and the Ibiza scene, where he went on to hold residencies at some of the biggest and best venues on the island. It’s also worth pointing out that Fergie has done no less than 13 Essential Mixes, and held down his own Radio 1 show for 5 years, such is the legendary status he commands.

Now based in Las Vegas and a resident at infamous club, Hakkisan and adopting a more house and techno sound, the Irish DJ has always been able to evolve and change according to the backdrop of the ever changing music scene. During the last 12 months, Fergie has found time for reflection and to reconnect with himself and the direction he now wishes to pursue.

His journey back to the studio has given him the chance to experiment with new sounds, while taking inspiration from the UK’s golden era of electronica, an era which is a true reflection of who Fergie is and where he comes from.

This new release sees him add to the extensive Armin van Buuren’s Armind label, with new track, ‘Alpha Centauri’ already being supported by the likes of Calvin Harris, Rebūke, Eats Everything and Alan Fitzpatrick, ahead of it’s release over the weekend.

“I can’t explain in words how much I love having the connection to you all and being able to explain to you through music where I’m at: both in my life and career”Fergie says. “This track feels like HOME. My journey in music has taken me on a few twists and turns. I feel like I have lived many different lives and here I am embarking on another chapter. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder and I believe they are correct. I’ve missed my people. I’ve missed my music and I am excited to be bringing you some full, dark and melodic treats that will give you the energy of the noughties & the heavy hitting wallop of today’s techno”.
