Snakebite took this opportunity to venture down a more hypnotic-driven route for this remix, resulting in an ever-so-elegant listen.
Next up on Research Label, Research founder Aeron XTC takes the lead as he debuts his first full body of work with his Doves EP. Consisting of 6 tracks in total, 3 of which are original compositions, the release is accompanied by 3 remixes from Aero, Erik Burka and Snakebite_616.
The Doves EP in its entirety is top-tier listening as ‘What We Had’, ‘Doves (XTC Mix)’ and ‘Click Clack’ all bring something unique to the table sound-wise but maintain a high degree of production quality throughout. The same can be said for each of the remixing artists on the release. Making the EP essential listening for dancers and DJs alike.
In this case, Snakebite’s version of ‘What We Had’ changes up the pace and atmosphere in comparison to the original, most notably the interpretation and re-jig of the vocal used throughout the composition. Giving off an ethereal vibe that loops in with the hypnotic nature of the track. The entire EP is an impressive showcase of each artist, their ability and unique flavours and experience as music producers that makes for an exciting listen overall.
