Sam GreenwoodWe’re in Waterford for our latest premiere where an exciting new label ‘Off The Beaten Track’, has just launched with an EP from Akari. We premier his track ‘No Escape’.
Off The Beaten Track is a sister label to Seems Legit! and they will both take on new roles as the former will feature a series of eclectic, off-centre releases, and the latter will focus on the more dance floor focused sounds.
The first release on OTBT is from Akari aka Davin Coady, who hails from Waterford city. This release is reminiscent of low-fi acid house and trip hop styles that would be heard in chill out rooms at raves in the 90s, a slight departure from his more established house and disco style, but still produced to the high standard you would expect from him.
We look forward to hearing the other artists and sounds discovered by the label, and encourage any artist who feels they have a track that would suit them to get in touch.
