Our second premiere of the day features Kerry-born, Dublin-based DJ and music producer FLAEN with a sensational techno track titled ‘Rivaldo’ from his upcoming EP ‘Black or Red’ that is due to release in full this Friday, April 7th. The release itself is FLAEN’s first musical showcase of him delving into funkier territory as opposed to his previous techno releases that were quite industrial in nature, which is always welcome seeing artists reinvent themselves and traverse new sounds.

FLAEN is no stranger to Ireland’s dance music scene, whether at home or abroad as he has formed a vast musical palette through living in London, Berlin and Dublin in recent years.

Boasting impressive music releases on Falsive Records, Occult Rhythms, Wonderlust Records, Gobsmacked Records and most recently Joe Farrs UX imprint, FLAEN’s presence as a formidable music producer looks to be growing stronger and stronger with every release. All while gaining support from the likes of Thomas P Heckmann, Rebekah, Dax J, Patrick DSP, Kobosil and so on.

FLAEN’s music is known for its seamless blending of different techno sub-genres, from his signature industrial techno style to his latest musical venture which explores sounds erring on groovier 90s and early 2000s elements of the overall sound.

This thrilling showcase is demonstrated ever so eloquently in his latest self-release which is available as a free download and can be heard below. Rivaldo is a clear representation of funky techno all with a FLAEN twist, as he incorporates some bloopy techno elements that add a unique dynamic to the track to gauge its listeners’ attention.
