Glaswegian DJ La La is poised to launch ‘Brand New Records’, a new musical outlet created to support musicians from La La’s home city. The label borrows its name from Glaswegian slang, aptly translated to ‘sound as fuck’, and is an homage to Scotland’s second city, featuring art and label design from local creatives Raissa Pardini and Ross Sneddon.
The label launches today with its debut record supplied by newcomers, Pentland Park as they drop 4 original tracks, supported by a solid remix from Galway’s KETTAMA. Brand New will also be a base to launch La La’s own musical endeavours in 2021.

I wanted to create a space that felt supportive to Scotland whilst acknowledging the fact I’m brand new to the industry. The label’s only requirement is the music needs to be amazing, no genre specifics; but also the people behind it.
