The sun is shining and we’ve some new Irish music today, as we’re delighted to premiere a track from rising Dublin DJ and producer, Presswork.

We first heard Presswork‘s music back in Feburary 2021, as we premiered a dreamy 90’s Robert Miles-esque track entitled ‘Nostalgia‘, which was released with Scottish label What Goes Up.

Tom McGrath aka Presswork started his Presswork project back in June 2020, but has already amassed a string of releases with the likes of Zone Focus, Hate Lab, Choki Biki Records, Rave Residence, Ballacid and What Goes Up, which is a huge achievement in itself in such a short space of time.

Having played around various clubs in Dublin, and gained support from Irish heavyweights Rebuke and Mark Blair, Presswork is certainly someone we’ll be looking forward to hearing and seeing on lineups when normality resumes.

We asked Presswork for some words about his latest track, ‘The Moment’.

“The Moment’ is a piano / Jackin’ house track which was created for the Summer months post lockdown. The track features delayed piano chords and acid melodies which sit upon a percussion-heavy drum beat and 808 bassline. Taking inspiration from producers such as Adryiano and Cinthie, the track was produced with early 90’s Jackin’ house in mind, aiming to create a theme of ‘being in the moment”.

You can check out our premiere via SoundCloud plus pick up the track for free via Presswork’s Bandcamp here where it’s set as Name Your Price, however, be sound and throw him a few Euro.
