Brand new Irish techno alert, as FUAM release a 3 track EP with the excellent Parisian label, Måinmise Records.

FUAM is the techno alias of Tadhg Brennan and Conor Patten hailing from Dublin and Wicklow. Their name derived from the Irish word for sound, which translates to ‘Fuaim’.

With nightclubs and festivals sadly closed due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the duo turned to the studio and putting their energies into working on their productions and honing their sound, culminating with a string of releases on Italian label Insane Industry Recordings last September, plus their 3 track EP with Måinmise Records set for release next month.

Their sound consists of fast past paced, synth driven techno with an industrial influence, taking inspiration from producers such as Dax J, VTSS and Giant Swan to name a few.

FUAM’s latest release is set for January 18th, a debut EP with Parisian label Mainmise Records. Titled Arrhythmia, the EP comprises of three tracks, one broken beat track and two more classic four to the floor techno tracks.

With a 2nd EP in the works and multiple unreleased singles ready for 2021, FUAM are gearing up to make up for lost time. You can check out the lead track from the release titled ‘Arrhythmia’ below, which just premiered with Substantiv.
