Sam GreenwoodGavin Rochford has released on Hoj and Lee Burridge’s Tale + Tone label, with a 3 track EP filled with a sense of lush, admiration and thought-provoking reflection, as the Sligo born, Dublin based Melodic resident adds another solid release to his ever-growing discography.
This stunning EP consists of two tracks by Gavin Rochford, titled ‘Triquetra’ and ‘Depth Perception’ as well as a remix of Triquetra that has been beautifully executed by Erdi Irmak, who has done a remarkable job. All three tracks showcase a unique style of driving melodic house with some progressive elements combined for good measure, and even greater listening. Holding down support slots for Ian Ludvig, Divenitto and Ian O’Donovan as of late is also a magnificent testament to the effort that Gavin is putting into his craft.
I imagine that the future will be fun filled with many memorable evenings dancing to this release at numerous Melodic club nights, as well as several packed out Pygmalion dancefloors. With a sound so strong in the city being backed by one of the most consistent and successful club-nights catering to this sound in Melodic, who are typically found in Yamamori Tengu throwing fantastic shows, I have no doubt this release will be well received by many.
