This Saturday sees the return of the Electronic Music Council’s second edition of ‘A City Comes Together’ this weekend in a range of venues across Cork City which will include a variety of workshops surrounding the process of creation, turntablism, culture, community and more throughout the day. Rounding off the day of events with an after-party at An Spailpín Fanach.

A City Comes Together returns to Cork this Saturday for a day filled with informative workshops that are all free of charge in Gaia, O’Sho and The Roundy that will focus on aspects of creation, the importance of culture and community in electronic music as well as turntablism and scratching with vinyl. All the workshops will have their own guest speakers and moderators to guide attendees through the workshops and answer any queries that may arise during the talks.

Once the day of workshops has concluded there will then be an after-party at An Spailpín Fanach that will feature a range of acts such as Gwada Mike, VLR, Danilo Milk, DJ Muscle B2B Lord Guidos and Natmac who will be closing out the evening in sublime fashion. It is difficult to express the importance of these workshops and events, especially at a time when there is a shortage of practical venues that can be used to showcase and create a healthy nightlife ecosystem in Cork and the rest of Ireland where adequate venues can be utilised. We would highly recommend that if you are in Cork or the surrounding area this Saturday that it would be fantastic to showcase your support.

Tickets for all the various workshops during the day can be redeemed for free, with the after-party tickets starting at 5 euro here.
