In an innovative response to Ireland’s restrictive nightlife hours, George Guinness (AKA Rowdiboi) and Josh Kerrigan (AKA Bigsmoke Ink) have launched a creative marketplace that brings together electronic music, art, and fashion. George, a 25-year-old Naas native, has been a key figure in Dublin’s music scene for the past five years with his collective, Thump Techno. Josh, 24, is a tattoo artist from Dublin known for his work at Sorry Ma Tattoo in Kimmage and his groundbreaking series, Beyond the Studio. Together, they’ve combined their passions to create a vibrant space where creativity thrives, and the community connects.
The idea was born out of a desire to expand the cultural offerings during the daytime, addressing the lack of late-night opportunities caused by Ireland’s early closing times. “We wanted to create a place where creatives could hang out, express themselves, and showcase their work,” George and Josh explained. This market isn’t just about selling goods; it’s about building a community. By combining electronic music with a platform for artists and designers, George and Josh hope to create a unique atmosphere that keeps people inspired and excited.
Their vision extends beyond just one event.
