Nathan ClareElevator Program and District 8 have just announced their first wave of panellists for the inaugural District 8 Academy Conference that is due to take place at the Sugar Club on Friday November 18th. The first wave of panellists include Saoirse, Obskür, Sam Sparrow, Cailín, Nancy, Ellen Harney, Jim O’Regan and Cormac Cashman.
Elevator Program and District 8 have teamed up and are hosting their very first talk series that aims to showcase and unlock the different levels of electronic dance music. Titled the ‘District 8 Academy’ they plan to host talks and presentations surrounding numerous areas of the music industry that include DJing, record labels, agents and management, marketing and design, promoters, event production and management and music production.
The first wave of panellists have been announced and include Irish DJ and music producer Cailín, who is a Subject resident and has established herself as a mainstay among many Irish club shows and festivals.
Cormac Cashman, who is the co-founder and promoter behind Mother. Irelands biggest LGBTQ+ party.
Ellen Harney, who is a promoter and head booker with Bodytonic. Which is one of Ireland’s leading event and hospitality groups.
Jim O’Regan, who is a booking agent at Wasserman Music. Representing artists such as KETTAMA, Ewan McVicar, Honey Dijon and more.
NANCY Live, who is one of the most exciting names in dance music. Garnering massive support from Carl Cox in recent times among numerous other artists.
Obskür, one of Ireland’s standout musical duos. Who have gained worldwide recognition for their incredibly impressive music productions and energetic DJ performances. Amassing multiple releases on FFRR and playing all across Ireland, the UK and beyond.
Saoirse, who is one of the most respected DJs, producers and promoters in the industry. Possessing over 10 years of experience within the music industry.
Sam ‘Sparrow’ Mooney, formerly of Defected Records and Ministry of Sound. Who is now the Creative Strategy Director for Ushuaia and Hï Ibiza who is one of the industries finest party operators.
