Dublin-based DJ and producer Liam Craig aka LPM has released a 10-track album today titled ‘Total Expression’ with 100% of all funds raised from the album going to Mental Health Ireland. This body of work is a step in a new direction for LPM as he ventures into fresh sonic territory reminiscent largely of cinematic scores, orchestral sounds and heart-tugging soundscapes.

LPM has certainly earned the accolade of one of Ireland’s most consistent producers over the years. Liam possesses one of the deepest and most versatile discographies that have seen support from a range of the industries most reputable artists from home and abroad like Disclosure, Patrick Topping, 1-800 Girls, Pagan and Shee. This success lead him to performances at some of the countries best festivals like Life Festival, Electric Picnic, Boxed Off and Otherside as well as club appearances at Wigwam, Index, Jam Park and Cellar.

When asked about this album release, Liam shared that: “Total Expression is a body of work created over the space of 4 years. It is pure emotion from events that occurred in my life that had a big impact on me. I always find myself sitting down and writing the best music during these times and Total Expression encapsulates exactly this.

I wanted to step away from my usual dance music styles and club tracks to create something truly special that the listener can really relate to. My hope is that the emotions that I have pumped into this album will resonate with people listening and make them feel what I was feeling during the time of writing that specific track.

This album was largely inspired by cinematic sounds, orchestral scores and soundscapes created by many different artists I listen to in my day-to-day life such as Jon Hopkins, Four Tet, Floating Points, Hans Zimmer, Max Richter, Nils Frahm, Boards of Canada and many more references that you might pick up on throughout. I used as little samples as possible in Total Expression in order to make it more personal and original. The few samples that are used are my own recordings and things that relate to my life.

Total Expression is not for me and never was for me. It was made to help people during a time of need or to simply just help people switch off and relax. This is why I am releasing it in order to raise awareness for mental health and raise vital funds to make sure organisations are there for people when they need it the most.”
