Tengu has announced Ngoni Egan as their new resident for the upcoming autumn/winter season. From October to December, the Rotterdam-based electro artist will take over the residency with three specially curated events at the Dublin City venue, featuring appearances by Cignol (Live), Lolz, and Sansibar (Live), as well as an all-night session to finish the residency.
Tengu has recently announced their latest residency, with electro boss Ngoni Egan taking over the venue from October to December. Egan follows Or:la and Sunil Sharpe, who have previously lived in Tengu.
Ngoni Egan, raised in Dublin and now based in Holland, is a true electro purist. His sound, deeply rooted in the classic Detroit style, is meticulously crafted in his studio, which he’s developed over many years. After making his mark across Ireland’s club scene, playing at venues like The Bernard Shaw, Yamamori Tengu, Wigwam, and Index, he relocated to Rotterdam. Since then, his DJ and live sets have gained international attention, leading to performances alongside DJ Hell, Helena Hauff, Privacy, and DJ Stingray, as well as bookings at major festivals like Glitch, Orbit, DGTL, and Dekmantel Selectors.
Egan is now making his return to Dublin, a city where he dedicated years to cultivating a home for electro. His party, Leptop, was a cornerstone of the electro scene in the Irish capital, regularly featuring genre icons like Sync 24, Carl Finlow, Radioactive Man, Alienata, and more, while also holding a residency on Dublin Digital Radio. Now, Ngoni is back for a series of regular Dublin shows in a fresh format, joining forces with the Tengu team for his next chapter.
