Two new 24-hour bus routes are launching in Dublin, connecting the city centre to Dún Laoghaire and Bray/Ballywaltrim in the south. The E-Spine will boost access to major hubs, including UCD, TCD, DCU, TUD, and key hospitals like the Mater, Rotunda, Temple Street, and Loughlinstown.
The National Transport Authority (NTA), in collaboration with Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland, has unveiled the latest phase of BusConnects, marking a significant expansion of the city’s public transport network.
This new service is designed to meet the growing demand for reliable transport options after hours, providing vital support for Dublin’s night-time economy. Whether commuting, studying, or socialising, these routes offer an accessible and efficient solution, with overall bus service levels in the affected areas increasing by more than 7%.
Phase 6A of the redesign introduces 13 new routes, including two 24-hour services and a direct connection to Dublin Airport, further enhancing connectivity across Dublin and North Wicklow.
