NTS have carved out a section of the internet dedicated to underground and left field music in all its forms. If you’re not familiar, have a look at the huge amount of genres they cover in their explore section to get a sense of what they do.

While they don’t specialise in the four four techno that we’re known to love, they host some of the best, giving an online space for artists to get creative. Some of our favourite NTS shows are Ben Sims Presents ‘Run it Red’, Shanti Celeste’s monthly residency and Mumdance’s shows where he plays everything from punk to techno.

Today the crew go live with a 24-hour radio festival, Remote Utopias, sponsored by Jameson Whiskey – a 24-hour radio takeover across two live channels, bringing together musicians, DJs, artists and filmmakers from across the globe. Highlights include Bicep (ambient set) at 1.15pm, Four Tet at 4.30pm, Omar S at 5.30pm and Palms Trax at  5.30am. Check out the full line up here.

As we’re coping with lockdown and the reality of gigs, festivals and tours being cancelled we’ve all got some readjusting to do. Today’s event is to help those artists who are struggling, especially in countries with little social welfare support. They’re fundraising for The Global FoodBanking Network, encouraging listeners to donate when they tune in and give back to the global community. This will go directly to upwards of fifty artists, from NTS residents to emerging and established talent, putting money directly into the pockets of musicians, during a period of tour cancellations and uncertainty within the music industry
