Nathan ClareCNTRL and the newly formulated Hybrid Events join forces this Friday to bring the very first ever b2b between Jamie Behan and Jon Hussey at The Grand Social. With a full venue takeover on the evening you can also expect to see Infiltrator, CON.R, FUAM, Shauna Dee, IMO and more on the night. Weekend plans sorted.
This Friday, the 14th of October, CNTRL and Hybrid Events come together to showcase a wide range of Irish musical talent across all three rooms of The Grand Social. Throughout the venue you can expect to find 10 DJs across the course of the evening that all find themselves at different stages of their musical careers.
This includes dance music veterans such as Jamie Behan and Jon Hussey, widely respected artists like Infiltrator and CON.R to relative newcomers to Ireland’s nightlife community in Shauna Dee and IMO. With all these artists joining forces and more there is no doubt that a truly memorable evening is in store.
Friday’s back to back pairing sees Jon Hussey, who boasts multiple Life Festival, Fuinneamh Festival and Tresor appearances as well as holding down support slots for the likes of Jeff Mills, Sunil Sharpe and Lewis Fautzi over the last few years.
Then, there is Jamie Behan who holds the title of running Ireland’s longest running techno night, Bastardo Electrico. He has welcomed the likes of Clouds, Blasha & Allatt and more to Cork City while also frequenting multiple Hoer Berlin takeovers with Stef Mendesidis, Rebekah, Setaoc Mass and more appearing as guests to the dimly lit Berlin bathroom.
A 3 hour set of this calibre is a real rarity and one that will surely go down in the history books for many years to come. Support on the evening consists of the insanely talented CON.R who made his international debut in Poland’s Szpitalna 1 last week. The New Moon Sessions (NMS) resident encompasses a real sense of fluidity between vinyl and digital. Spinning an array of harsh broken rhythms, intense hypnotic grooves and eerie atmospheric textures there is no better man to set the tone for this legendary pairing this Friday.
