Nathan ClareEthereal Skies have announced their launch night with Dark0 in The Racket Space next month. Their aim is to create a brand new platform that is dedicated to showcasing experimental club music featuring international and local guests to the Irish club scene in an inclusive party space.
Ethereal Skies has officially launched today with Dark0 set to headline their launch party on November 18th at The Racket Space. Support on the evening will consist of Cork based Capricorn and residents darkmavis b2b Sean Murray on opening duties.
Ethereal Skies looks to bring a fresh, diverse range of experimental dance music artists to Ireland that is entirely unique to Ireland’s nightlife scene. The Ethereal Skies team plans to host a mix series that will comprise of every local DJ that will perform at their party with plans to expand into a label in future.
London’s Dark0 has become synonymous with creating anthemic club music and story-rich mixes. His rise began in 2014 with a string of EPs on UK based imprints (Lost Codes, Rinse) that explored and pioneered a cross section of video game music, grime club tools and electrifying pop. In 2016 he released his Oceana EP on the legendary XL recordings, which infused his grime sound with uplifting trance elements providing pure euphoria, which is now an essential component of his music.
In recent years, he has gone on to release two records in 2020 and 2021 on the Swedish Imprint Year0001, a label who is responsible for the rise of artists such as Yung Lean, Viagra Boys, Drain Gang and more. His debut album on the imprint entitled Eternity truly shows the longevity of his sound, from warehouse-ready euphoric neo-trance and hard kicks, to beautiful piano pieces.
Capricorn is a Cork based DJ who formally co-founded the electronic queer party called CXNT. After some time away living in Germany, she has made an excellent homecoming with recent gigs including support for Bored Lord in Yamamori Tengu with Club Comfort and her international debut at Stereo Glasgow with Soilse. In the booth Capricorn is a respected and knowledgeable selector of the finest hard house, trance, jungle and jersey club music of course with a sinister twist added into the mix.
