ShivThe Enigma collective has breathed new life into the Waterford scene with a big soundsystem, DJ cage and Boiler Room style set up to offer techno fans an immersive experience. For their 3rd birthday this Saturday, founder FENSKA teams up with Marela to bring a bang of the industrial underground to Electric Avenue.
Enigma have made a name for themselves showcasing heavy lineups packed full of raw, rolling techno and cutting edge dance music. Their dedication to sound comes through as they bring in a wall of sound for the occasion, and deliver a DJ set up that allows the crowd to be up front and centre for a full on techno assault.
On the night, we see Enigma founder and resident FENSKA (aka SYMØNE) take to the decks. Having played alongside artists such as Rebekah, Riot Code, 999999999, Dense & Pika, Matador, Anfisa Letyago, and Rebuke you can expect everything from old school rave to industrial and acid sounds, all set against hypnotic, driving techno beats.
Joining her on the night is Marela, whose passion for production has seen him collaborate with renowned labels such as Tech City, under Techno City’s esteemed imprint, as well as Sleepless Recordings, curated by the visionary Jesse-Jay Lacey. Notably, his 2023 releases on Sleepless’ sister label, Aku-Aku, has garnered immense acclaim and anticipation from techno enthusiasts worldwide. His set comes highly anticipated in the Enigma cage.
