Quinton Campbell has been quiet as of late, but with the release of this huge 8 track album, we can now see why. After a chat with him outside Wigwam on Middle Abbey Street, what seems like a lifetime ago, Quinton explained to me the new drive and motivation he had recently felt about creating music.
This passion has absolutely transpired into this body of work.
‘Fifth’ is a perfect collection of music which showcases Quinton’s diversity and talent as a producer. From the opening tracks which hold a Four Tet / Bicep inspired feeling with warm, comforting and uplifing melodies which are followed by heavier and harder hitting tracks including the driving breakbeat track ‘Restless’ which we certainly see taking dance floors by storm when clubs finally reopen. These eight tracks really highlight Quinton’s ability and talent and we can’t wait to see the fruits of this labour when things get back to normal.
