Sam GreenwoodThe duo of Irish producers Sunil Sharpe and DeFeKt have been at the forefront of electronic music in the country and far beyond for the past few years now, with the pair both taking part in the Boiler Room showcase in Hangar.
Their joint project ‘Tinfoil’ has been well received by fans of the pair since they started it off in 2014 and later released vinyl EPs via their own, self titled label as well as playing live; headlining Fuinneamh festival’s debut edition last summer for one.
Yesterday, they made their full back catalogue of EPs available to buy digitally on their Bandcamp page which you can check out here.
Today sees the pair announce their debut album ‘On a Roll’ which will drop on the 23rd of April via a 2 x 12″ vinyl.
The album will stress a whole host of different elements that have become synonymous with the Tinfoil sound; drawing from all corners of electro to industrial techno, with a particular stress on creating haunting and immersive sounds through big basslines and creepy vocals.
