Sam GreenwoodResearch & Slither have thrown some amazing parties since the lifting of lockdown, combining brilliantly each party in various locations over Dublin.
Over the last few months the crews have brought DJ Assault, DJ Slugo, IMNOTYOURMATE and Gabber Eleganza to the Dublin dance floors. Now it’s the turn of German born and Juicy Gang Records label boss, DJ Mell G.
The Hamburg born DJ kicked off her musical journey playing at parties in Frankfurt and Marburg. It was in 2018 when Mell G played her first set, up until then she had predominantly been playing trap and hip hop. Since then she has grafted and right throughout lockdown carved her name as one of the most sought after up and coming DJs and producers of 2022.
Not only an incredible DJ, but Mell is also becoming a prolific producer, boasting a string of releases on FTP, Childsplay, 777 Recordings and her own imprint, Juicy Gang Records, display the fun and adventurous aesthetic of DJ MELL G.
In 2021, her debut album on JGR dropped via three EPs, each produced in collaboration with DJ Godfather, Karnage Kills and DJ Fuckoff. With her relentless dedication to DJing, music production and Juicy Gang Records, DJ MELL G is a talent who remains true to her artistic vision no matter the trend in dance
For her Dublin debut on Thursday, you can except ghettotech, footwork, electro, techno all served up with serious attitude. Also sharing the bill on the night is Tomás who makes a brief trip home from New York & Loose Tooth collective’s Dxmp & Cian Bolger.
