We’ve had a lot of live streams and DJ sets throughout the lockdown period, with people streaming from their kitchens, showing off their potted plant collections and some impressive green screen set ups, but this footage from Studio 34 takes the prize.

Both Timmy Stewart and Jordan are residents and promoters at Belfast’s legendary club The Night Institute, as well as successful producers and DJs in their own right within the house and disco scene. Timmy has a string of killer releases for Manchester’s Paper Recordings, San Diego’s Siesta Records and co-founded the Product Deluxe label. Jordan also has releases on Scottish stalwart Huntleys & Palmers and his Nocturne imprint.

Towards the end of May, the pair decided it was time to do something special, so with the help of the Ulster Sports Club, Ayeland and the Studio 34‘s audiovisual team, they put the wheels in motion for a live stream and visual concept with a difference.

Think old-time movies and empty street scenes mixed into a collage of trippy, kaleidoscopic graphics, all manipulated to the soundtrack of experimental electronic and disco tunes. If you’re looking for something to enhance all the senses, then this is it.
