Max HeyraudBerlin club Kreuzwerk continues its CROSS series this weekend, bringing together three collectives with deep Irish connections as Josh Reid’s QS1, Sunil Sharpe’s Earwiggle, and TAUREAN’s DOLLHAUS link up for a collaborative takeover.
Drawn from the three collectives’ core members, close collaborators and extended communities, the lineup brings together Aria Santillana, Commissar Lag, IMOGEN, Josh Reid, Josiane, Kedi Bounce, Npoint_O, Sunil Sharpe and TAUREAN for a heavyweight night of techno.
Founded in 2018 in a derelict Charlottenburg space, QS1 has grown from a DIY gathering into one of Berlin’s most respected independent event series. Rooted in house and techno, the collective prioritises emerging artists and community over trends. Representing QS1 on the night are Aria Santillana, Kedi Bounce, Josh Reid and Npoint_O.
Earwiggle, founded in 2011 by Irish DJ and producer Sunil Sharpe, has built an international reputation for releasing raw and honest techno. Defined by a slow-release cadence and a resolutely underground ethos, the label has long championed some of the scene’s most distinctive producers. For the Kreuzwerk showcase, Sharpe is joined by IMOGEN and Commissar Lag.
Also on the bill is DOLLHAUS, the Berlin-based party and harm reduction platform centring FLINTA, BIPOC and queer artists, and embedding safer-space principles across its events. Operating between club night and community initiative, it places care and dancefloor culture on equal footing, with TAUREAN and Josiane representing the collective.
Rather than presenting three separate showcases, CROSS encourages a shared approach, with invited crews building one collective narrative across the night. The result is a lineup curated from three different perspectives, while also meeting in the middle to create a bill that is both cohesive and challenging.
