We’ve compiled a selection of nine new Irish tunes released last month by some of the island’s top producers. The collection is dedicated to the dancefloor, including house, techno, trance, garage, and so much more, and it’s oozing with Érie club flair.
CULT – Big Pimpin’ [CEP Records]
Berlin-based, CULT, provides another 90s-soaked techno rhythm, this one layered with rolling bass, shuffling sheets of percussion, and a funked-laced vocal.
hellokt – Bang Dat
Hellokt, a fresh name on the Irish techno scene, is gaining popularity with her Chicago-inspired techno and house flavours. Bang Dat is a dubby delight complete with ghetto vocals and jackin’ 909 rhythms.
MAV666 – Monachopsis [XYZ]
MAV666 returns with another explosive techno track that combines sci-fi-infused psychedelia with straight-up close-fisted techno intensity.
Tommy Holohan x Megra – Show Me The Sky [Steel City Dance Discs]
Tommy Holohan and Steel City Dance Discs have released an early candidate for track of the summer, as the Rush native once again crosses the borders between the UK hardcore continuum and 90s-influenced techno and trance.
MasCon – Cabernet (Sunil Sharpe Remix) [Snork Enterprises]
It’s been a while since we’ve seen some new music from Sunil Sharpe, but the Earwiggle boss is back with a hardwired remix for MasCon. Sharpe offers up a spiralling techno weapon for fans of Neil Landstrumm and Jerome Hill.
Ozwald – Throw That [City Imp Records]
Enigmatic producer OZWALD provided their debut release with City Imp Records, “Throw That,” which is a bass-heavy juke cut complete with detuned saw waves and luscious chords.
Ambit – Kryptonite [Warehouse Rave]
Ambit‘s latest track is a growling D&B offering, leaning into menacing bass power and ominous soundscapes designed to rumble and ruffle feathers. Kryptonite incorporates dark textures and cinematic features to create an immersive masterpiece.
Kjinn – Rize & Shine
Death, taxes and Kjinn making out-and-out floor fillers are the only certainties in this life. The Skerries boss unleashes a nasty UK groove with boss womps, filthy reese bass, and infectious vocals. We dare you not to dance.
Cassö x Jazzy Feat. Headie One – Zeros [Ministry Of Sound]
Jazzy is back with another milestone collaboration, this time with Cassö and Headie One. Jazzy’s vocals are smooth and lush, as each sentence flows around the slick groove with her unique rhythmic flair.
