SoundCloud has announced a new all-in-one artist subscription that will allow musicians to keep 100% of their distribution royalties, both from tracks uploaded directly to SoundCloud and from releases distributed to other streaming platforms.

The update, revealed last week (October 30), means SoundCloud will no longer take a cut of distribution royalties from the next payout cycle at the end of November. Artists using SoundCloud’s distribution service will retain full earnings from releases shared to Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, YouTube Music and beyond.

Alongside the change, the subscription includes several new tools for artists. A fan-to-artist support feature, previously available to select users, will now be free to use in the US, allowing fans to directly tip or donate to their favourite artists via a “Support” button on their page.

SoundCloud has also unveiled an on-demand vinyl service, letting artists press limited-edition runs of their music without upfront costs or bulk orders. Additional features include artist storefronts and merchandise tools, enabling musicians to handle digital and physical sales in one place.

“SoundCloud has always been about putting artists first,” said CEO Eliah Seton. “With this launch, we’re taking that mission further, giving artists a truly all-in-one subscription, including distribution without detours, community without barriers, and monetisation without compromise, including direct support from their fans.”
