Boiler Room has addressed its recent ownership change following DICE’s sale of the platform to Superstruct, the world’s second-largest festival group.

In a statement, Boiler Room acknowledged concerns over its ties to Superstruct’s parent company, KKR, whose investments “categorically do not align with our values.” Despite the shift in ownership, Boiler Room reaffirmed its commitment to editorial independence and its long-standing values, emphasizing that no investor, past or present, has ever influenced its output.

Despite these ownership changes, Boiler Room has clarified that its editorial independence will remain intact. The platform has reiterated its unwavering support for Palestine, promising to continue following BDS and PACBI guidelines in its artist programming and brand partnerships. It also remains committed to working with Palestinian artists and organisers to develop internal policies that are consistent with this stance.

“Boiler Room has been through various changes in control, investors, boards, and ownership, and through this our commitment to editorial independence and Palestine has never wavered. No investor, past or present, has ever influenced our output, this will never change.”
