Netherlands-based duo AGENTS & JUICE make their Irish debut at Dublin Fringe Festival from Sept 17–20 at Smock Alley Theatre with LAST GIG EVER!!, a dance-theatre performance delving into the highs and lows of nightlife and club culture.
Described as a mix of rigorous movement, slapstick comedy, and radical joy, the show reimagines the dance floor as a stage. Performers Tiên Lê (Sweden) and Ella Clayson (Ireland) use theatre, choreography, and DJing to grapple with both the euphoria and exhaustion of club culture.
Audiences can expect a high-octane one-hour performance featuring physical comedy, jazz, heavy bass, and tongue-in-cheek references to the rituals of nightlife. Suits are worn, shed, and destroyed as the piece unfolds, reflecting the collapse and rebirth that clubs often embody.
AGENTS & JUICE was formed in Tilburg, the Netherlands, drawing inspiration from their personal experiences in nightlife. Their practice spans dance, performance art, and music, with a focus on satire and humour as a way of addressing contemporary cultural issues.
