Croílár returns this April with its most ambitious edition yet, unveiling the full programme for its 2026 festival across three days of music, spoken word, comedy, storytelling and wellness in the heart of Athlone.
Running from April 17th to 19th, Croílár 26 will activate 13 venues across the town, transforming it into a multi-site cultural map that blends live performance with community spaces, late-night sessions and pop-up gatherings. This year’s edition continues the festival’s focus on Irish-language culture and contemporary arts, including a dedicated pop-up Gaeltacht alongside a broad programme of interdisciplinary events.
Across the weekend, audiences can expect a tightly curated mix of established and emerging voices spanning live music, stand-up, experimental performance and spoken word, alongside wellness workshops and informal, conversational spaces designed to encourage connection between artists and attendees.
The lineup welcomes: Mercorn B2B Bull Horris, Cáit, Brawni, Big Cheeks, Spooklet, RiseUp Soundsystem and more, as well as headliners Joshua Burnside, Morgana, Huartan and more.
