Irish electro legend DeFeKT is back with one of his most personal works yet.
His new full-length EP, Adaptive Fiction, arrives on Helena Hauff’s Return To Disorder label, marking a triumphant return to releasing music.
Since being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2016, DeFeKT’s ability to release music and tour has been dramatically affected. Despite these challenges, he has continued to create, making Adaptive Fiction a particularly significant release.
This is DeFeKT’s first full-length solo EP since his Don’t Stop EP on Winthorpe Electronics in 2021. In the intervening years, he has also collaborated with artists like Jensen Interceptor and Extrawelt, releasing projects through Tresor and Cocoon Recordings.
Adaptive Fiction arrives on the 26th of January, the EP represents both a creative and personal milestone for DeFeKT, reaffirming his status as one of electro most resilient and innovative figures.
