Dublin Modular’s parties at Project Arts Centre are among the standout nights in the city’s calendar, and tomorrow they return with a festive edition that flips the Christmas panto on its head.
Running from 7:30PM until late, the collective’s Alternative Panto takes over Project Arts Centre for a multi-room programme spotlighting some of the most exciting live and electronic artists emerging in Ireland right now.
Known for transforming unconventional spaces into hubs of creative chaos, Dublin Modular’s events blur the lines between gig, club night and performance happening. Costumes are encouraged, the atmosphere is deliberately unruly, and the emphasis is firmly on collective experience over genre boundaries.
The line-up brings together a cross-section of Dublin Modular’s world, moving fluidly between live performance and DJ-led exploration. Live sets come from BLINNE, Qbanaa and Marconi’s Mess, followed by late-night selections from Mooncup and Mercorn. Down in the Vinyl Bar, the Dub Modular Krew set the tone early on, with Aoife Nic Canna and Governess keeping things moving deep into the night.
Founded as a queer, artist-run organisation, Dublin Modular has become a vital force in Dublin’s underground, championing live electronic music alongside visual art and performance while amplifying underrepresented voices in the city’s nightlife ecosystem.
