Give Us The Night and Labour Youth Ireland are bringing Ireland’s nightlife reform debate to Dublin on Monday, with a panel exploring access to culture, licensing and the future of the country’s after-dark scene.

Taking place upstairs at Doyles, beside Trinity College, at 7pm on Monday, October 12th, the event aims to bring young people and students further into the country’s growing nightlife activism. The panel will explore key issues facing Ireland’s cultural and nightlife sectors, including late licensing laws, legislative support for venues and artists, and public safety.

The discussion brings together Ivana Bacik, DieByVeg, Sunil Sharpe and James Ackermann, offering perspectives from across politics, music and nightlife. Together, they’ll examine where Ireland’s current nightlife framework falls short, and what meaningful reform could look like.

With Ireland’s nightlife landscape continuing to be shaped by debates around licensing, cultural access and support for the creative sector, organisers are encouraging students, artists, promoters, venue workers and nightlife audiences to get involved.

The event forms part of a wider Access to Culture campaign, with organisers calling for continued public engagement around nightlife reform and the policies that shape how people experience culture after dark.
