Irish musicians and community music groups are being offered a major funding opportunity, with €1 million confirmed for Music Network’s 2026 Music Capital Scheme.
Music Network’s Music Capital Scheme is returning with €1 million in government funding, giving musicians and community organisations across Ireland a chance to secure vital support for instruments and equipment.
Applications are now open for Awards 1, 2 and 3, targeting non-professional performing groups and individual professional musicians.
The funding breakdown includes:
- €235,000 for Award 1
- €175,000 for Award 2
- €90,000 for Award 3
Applications close on Tuesday, December 15, at 2pm.
The latest investment, provided by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, reinforces the importance of accessible instruments and resources in helping musicians develop their careers and communities bring live music to more people.
