Max HeyraudElectric Picnic will be powered by renewable electricity this weekend, with Flogas returning as the festival’s Official Renewable Energy Partner for a second year.
The partnership will cover the festival’s main performances, with around 80,000 people expected to attend the Stradbally event.
The electricity will be sourced from the 23MW Knockawarriga Wind Farm in Co. Limerick, operated by Perigus Energy, through a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement with Flogas. Any additional consumption will be backed by renewable energy Guarantees of Origin.
Flogas is also introducing the Flogas Power Deck, a raised viewing platform powered by Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), offering elevated views of the main stage alongside games, prizes and a resident DJ.
