Eternal Volume 1 is the upcoming various artists compilation from exude records, a trans-run label and event series rooted in community, resistance and celebration.

Out November 21st, 2025, one day after the annual Trans Day of Remembrance, the record channels collective grief, joy and defiance into sound. Proceeds will be split between the artists, Lisbon-based mutual aid network Casa T Lisboa, and the label itself.

Eternal Volume 1 marks the label’s second release and the beginning of a new compilation series, each edition envisioned as “a sonic love letter to the trans community.”

The compilation offers a panoramic view of trans life in all its contradictions: playful and painful, joyful and furious, intimate and world-building. Its message is clear and unapologetic: “We have always been here and will never be erased.”

Rather than mediating or translating the experience for outsiders, Eternal invites listeners into a world made by and for trans people. It’s not about representation for representation’s sake, but about sovereignty: who gets to tell their own stories, and on whose terms.

Amid an increasingly hostile global landscape, where fascist movements continue to target trans bodies and lives, Eternal frames existence itself as resistance.

The compilation refuses tokenism, engaging instead with the material realities of survival—access to gender-affirming healthcare, stable housing, dignified work, and safety. Yet the record doesn’t lecture, it seduces, using club music’s familiar tropes to communicate something far more radical: trans joy as a form of political power.
