We’re a mere one week out from the highly anticipated debut edition of Otherside Festival, which takes place at the beautiful location of Rockfarm, Slane. Asides from the festivals blissful location, it also has a stack of renowned headliners that will soundtrack the weekend, we took a closer look at heavy hitters we’re looking forward to next weekend.

Otherside Festival is embracing a new energy of freedom through art, music, food and comedy in the mist of the wild meadows of the festival site on Rock Farm. From trad to techno, the festival is offering a little piece of magic under the stars, for just about everyone.

Among the vast amount of musical choices are a heap of heavy hitting acts’s that caught our eye. From Irish heroes to innovative new comers, Otherside Festival is covering all angles, and this is exactly what we love to see from a debut festival.

Krystal Klear

Dublin’s own Krystal Klear is always a fan favourite wether it’s at a festival or in a club setting, you can always count on Krystal Klear for a disco-licked party starting DJ set. In recent times Krystal Klear has moved into a league of his own with stand out releases on Running Back, and recent DJ sets at Mixmag’s Lab and Boiler Room. This will be a treat.

Cinthie

One of the most coveted house DJs in Europe lands in Meath for what shall be a trip through house of the ages. The Berlin based selector is regular fixture across Europe at some of the most desired parties for contemporary electronic music. Having remixed for Frankie Knuckles and being remixed by Gerd Janson, it’s blatantly obvious that Cinthie is a defining name in house music of this generation. Don’t miss the good stuff at Otherside.

Girls Don’t Sync

One of the biggest breakthrough electronic group’s in recent time, make their Irish festival debut next week at Otherside Festival. Running off the back of a massive set at Glastonbury, Girls Don’t Sync will arrive to Otherside Festival with an array of two-step delights. The group bring good vibes, and good vibes only to the stage and we can not wait.

Lane 8

Daniel Goldstein, better known by his stage name Lane 8, has been blazing a trail of dance music bliss on his path from America as of late. From releases on This Never Happened to Ajunadeep, Lane 8 is a household name when it comes to deep and melodic electronic music. Tranquil melodies and soothing chords, in an idyllic location sounds super sweet to us.

DJ Seinfeld

One of the most authoritative names in electronic music and all round Irish favourite DJ Seinfeld touches down at Otherside Festival for his anticipated return to Ireland. DJ Seinfeld is best known for his emotionally driven style of dance music, wether is acid soaked electro or wandering lo-fi, DJ Seinfeld knows how to pull the heartstrings. Recent releases on Ninja Tune and Young Ethics show Seinfeld at his best, and his DJ set’s are as robust and diverse as his back catalogue, so this will be a highlight for sure.

Chris Stussy

Chris Stussy’s is one of the fastest rising star in house and minimal right now, and his appearance Otherside will be welcomed by many. Regularly shelling down at massive clubs and festivals including Awakenings, Watergate, Fabric, Fuse and Elrow. He has a wide range of musical preferences, ranging from lengthy, slow, deep and tension-building mixes to high-impact, fast chops and high-energy cuts. This will be an utter trip through the deep,

I.Jordan

Riding high from India Jordan’s Irish debut in Wigwam, the UK artist returns for their festival debut. India Jordan has been on our radar for quite some time. Displaying an energetic yet eclectic sound that has been sweeping over the UK and Europe. A high octane and bouncy house sound has landed the producer on Dance System and Ninja Tune to great regard, we look forward to checking out India next weekend at Otherside.

Joe Goddard

The legendary Joe Goddard of Hot chip touches down at the Otherside Festival coming equipped with the finest of house, disco and indie. Joe displays the ethereal side of dance music with his own unique flavour, and that’s made him a massively respected name throughout his work with Hot Chip and as his own monarch Joe Goddard.

Oden & Fatzo [Live]

Oden & Fatzo are one of the biggest breakthrough trio’s in house music right now. The live trio embody French house with a modern twist. Their extensive multi-gear live set-up performance set dance-floors on fire all around the globe. Moving through classic house, funky cuts, minimal grooves and filter madness, Oden & Fatzo are highly tipped for the debut edition of Otherside.

TSHA

London based DJ & producer TSHA is one of the fastest rising star’s from the UK right now. Tipped as one to watch by NME, Mixmag, Billboard, DJ Mag and BBC R1’s Pete Tong, it seems all roads are leading to glory for TSHA. An eclectic taste in music has lead to a host of dynamic DJ set’s and genre fluid releases on Ninja Tune, Fabric & Counter Records. Do not miss her at Otherside Festival.
